African Skies by Michael Brecker, arranged by Bora Jang

Since embarking on a jazz musician career in 2016, Bora has been striking with creativity, both as a promising pianist obtaining exceptional education and experiences with living legend musicians: Grammy-winning jazz piano/arranger Bill Cunliffe, several awards winning jazz trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos, Grammy-winning jazz drummer N. Scott Robinson, former Sarah Vaughan's bassist Bob Magnusson, Poncho Sanchez’s music arranger and Latin music director, trombonist Francisco Torres and world-widely famous jazz drummer Rodolfo Zuniga and as an innovative composer with writing numerous jazz original tunes for solo piano and band, music for two pianists, and music for string quartet.

How it begins…

Bora Jang has played violin and piano since she was five in South Korea. She has had various performance experiences internationally in South Korea, Russia, China, and the United States in classical piano and violin from her youth. Blending her early love of classical piano, violin, and jazz, she has created an original sound on her instruments. Her passion for music and love for jazz led her to earn a master’s in music with honors and as an outstanding jazz orchestra pianist at California State University of Fullerton with a jazz piano major. Currently, Bora is a multi-instrumentalist of violin and piano and a Certificate of Merit-certified music educator based in California, Japan, and South Korea.
